HAIR STUDIO - (hair-stu-di-o) - n.- a unique setting based on personal attention for all your hair care needs.
I spent my first 20 plus years in Port Washington working for other salon owners. Although I was content, I always imagined how I would operate a salon. My priority would be a warm welcoming space, not a generic salon, with a comfortable yet professional atmosphere. Ten years ago, a bump in the road changed my path, and I opened Hair Studio.
My mission is to provide my clientele with a unique salon experience. People who walk into my space feel comfortable immediately. Some clients just stop in to say hello, but I know they are really coming to grab a (dark or milk chocolate) kiss.
Before every service there’s a consultation. Together we will come up with a style or color that will be flattering, and suit their lifestyle. I pay strict attention to the details of the entire service and maintain the highest standard in the cleanliness of my salon. My wish is to exceed your expectations, and keep you coming back for more!
Since venturing out on my own, I keep up with the current trends by educating myself and staff. I attend numerous classes throughout the year, including color, cut, and retexturizing.
After 9 successful years in Baxter Estates, I relocated November 2017 to a section affectionately known as “Dunkin Donuts Estates”. Here I am before renovations. I am right in the heart of town, across from the LIRR.
For the humans we offer cuts, color, re-texturizing, special occasion styling and conditioning treatments.
Sorry just treats for the dogs.

Cindy has been in town for years! She's here Thursdays and Saturdays. If you're looking for a formal style, Cindy is our special occasion specialist. On the other days of the week she's the hairdresser at Northwell Glen Cove Rehab Center and she visits homebound folks as well.
